Editorial Internship - Columbus

Great Lakes Publishing is currently seeking an editorial intern to assist with its custom publications in its Columbus office. The ideal candidate is entering his/her junior or senior year and is a journalism, communications or English major. Recent grads are welcome to apply as well.
This is an unpaid, part-time internship. Preferred if the internship can qualify for college credit, but not required. We are seeking candidates that are available 10-15 hours per week. Scheduling and hours are flexible.
Job duties include fact checking and researching stories and listings, copy editing and writing short feature stories. We are looking for this to be a meaningful professional development opportunity for the candidate(s) we select.
Other learning opportunities include: participating in editorial meetings and learning the process of assigning content/managing freelance writing.
We are looking for a student with strong attention to detail, writing skills, knowledge of AP style and spelling, punctuation, grammar and phone skills. Candidates also should possess a strong work ethic, be punctual and reliable.
