Art Production Intern

Great Lakes Publishing is currently seeking an art production intern to assist with its monthly and custom publications in its Cleveland office. The ideal candidate is entering his/her junior or senior year and is a graphic design, visual communications design/technology, art or marketing major. Recent grads are welcome to apply as well. This is an unpaid, part-time internship. It is preferred that the internship can qualify for college credit, but not required. We are seeking candidates that are available about 10-15 hours per week. Scheduling and hours are flexible.
Job duties include creating advertisements through final approval, coordinating advertisement production, preflighting advertisements, placing advertisements in layouts, preparing art files for digital publishing and creating web advertisements. The candidate will learn about the entire print and digital publication process during their time at Great Lakes Publishing. We are looking for this to be a meaningful professional development opportunity for the candidate(s) we select.
We are looking for a student with strong layout and typography skills with a working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat. Candidates also should possess a strong work ethic, be punctual and reliable.
